Facility
Avalon is located in Burlingame, an attractive, family-friendly city in Northern California, approximately 15 miles south of San Francisco.
The facility occupies approximately 4,250 sq ft. In addition to two extremely spacious classrooms, the school includes a sensory-integration room, a private room for individual movement-intervention programs, dining and recreation areas, a computer room and a family-resource area.
We are ideally situated for visitors. The school is a 5-minute drive from San Francisco International Airport, and adjacent to a variety of lodgings and restaurants to suit most budgets. We are readily accessible from freeways (101, 280, 380 and 92) and only a 20-minute ride from downtown San Francisco on the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) or Caltrain. The Avalon Academy is adjacent to the scenic Bay Trail which presents a wonderful opportunity for outdoor activity for our students whether in wheelchairs, on bicycles, walkers or unassisted.
Ample parking is available on Mahler Road and behind the facility.
